Our Supporters
It is really important to make everything possible to improve the current education and make sure each child is succeed, that's why parent's calling on state leaders to take action and pass meaningful education reform is on the agenda. So the informative speech shown here with the inserts of direct speeches present the issue of the importance of such school reform and the writer who helped to created this informative speech made sure the main idea would engaging and appealing one. “As our five children have gone through the Jefferson County school system, we’ve noticed a decline in the quality of education. Our family is asked to pay more each year in tax increases and high student fees, but the system never seems to improve. Our family can’t afford to keep paying into a broken system without assurances that the money will produce great educational outcomes for our children.” – Linda Hill, mother, Jefferson County
“This bipartisan effort against Amendment 66 highlights the need for real education reform. One of the best drivers for improving student achievement is providing broad school choice opportunities, something sorely lacking in SB 213.” – Democratic former state Senator Bob Hagedorn
“Colorado’s families have been asked time and time again to turn over their hard-earned dollars to pay for so-called education reform that never materializes. There are no assurances that this money will ever directly benefit students and teachers in classrooms. Our best teachers deserve pay-for-performance and our students deserve the best education we can offer. This tax increase falls short on both accounts. It’s not fair.” – Laura Boggs, Jefferson County School District Board of Education
“I know that small class sizes are absolutely significant in improving education. Proponents of this effort promise smaller class sizes, but this bill contains no assurances that any of the money raised will go toward reducing class sizes or implementing education reform. I worry that this money will get stuck in administrative bureaucracy. This initiative is unfair and unjust.” – Jill Cullis, teacher
“During my career, I have been a strong supporter of education. I have found that strong leadership, quality teachers, and parent involvement creates successful schools. Amendment 66 is a costly endeavor which fails to provide the necessary elements to create excellence.” – former state Senator Norma Anderson
“Small businesses are beginning to recover from the Great Recession. A billion dollar graduated income tax increase threatens that recovery and discourages small businesses from hiring. Everyone in the business community wants to see our education system improved, but Amendment 66 doesn’t offer the reform that will help prepare our children for the workforce.” – John Brackney, CEO and president, South Metro Denver Chamber
